Care-a-vanners
Welcome Care-a-vanners! Thank you for your interest in helping us build Habitat Homes in the Mesilla Valley and Las Cruces, New Mexico!
Our build season runs from October through May. During the 2008-2009 building season we will be building at least three, perhaps up to five homes. Feel free to come and go as your travel plans allow.
Campground next to office.We have a campground with five campsites. These sites have water, sewer and 30/50 amp electric service. Please contact Don and Elaine Stover at (575) 993-0263 or by e-mail to reserve an RV space.
Work days are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm (or until we get to a good stopping point). Most Care-a-Vanners work only Monday through Friday, with weekends free for sight-seeing.
Please note, you do not need to have any experience in construction, just an interest to help and learn as you go. That said, if you have the following tools, we would appreciate it if you brought them along: hammer, tape measure, utility knife, tool belt and a speed square.

From North
I-25 to Main Street (Hwy 70) (exit #6), go right (SW) (1.3 miles) to Solano (light), go left (S) (1.2 miles) to Augustine, go right (W) (1 block) to Santa Fe, go left (S), Office and Campground on left.
From South or East
I-10 to I-25 (N), I-25 to Lohman (exit #3), go left (W) (1.2 miles) to Solano (light), go right (N) (.6 miles) to Augustine, go left (W) (1 block) to Santa Fe, go left (S), Office and Campground on left.
From West
I-10 to Motel Blvd (exit#139), go left (N) (.3 miles) to Amador, go right (E) (2.9 miles) to Solano (light), go left (N) (.7 miles) to Augustine, go left (W) (1 block) to Santa Fe, go left (S), Office and Campground on left.
